College of Arts & Sciences



The College of Arts and Sciences is composed of twelve academic departments: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Engineering Technology, English and Foreign Language, Family and Consumer Sciences, History, Mathematics/Physics, Music, Political Science/Public Administration, Sociology/Psychology, Visual and Performing Arts.  The College of Arts and Sciences strives to (1) provide an environment that fosters and encourages excellence in scholarship by students and faculty; (2) prepare students for graduate and professional schools as well as for careers related to their fields of study; (3) promote faculty research and creativity; and (4) prepare students for living in a dynamic global society.
