FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Consistent Workshops/Training are facilitated throughout the QEP implementation. Topics include, but are not limited
to, infusing oral communication skill building in your course and assessing these
activities. While all First Year Experience Faculty are in this learning category,
these sessions will also be open to faculty across disciplines to foster the culture
of oral communication competency.
Oral Communication best practices travel opportunities are available to faculty interested in teaching an Oral Communication
Infusion course.
Active Learning Opportunities for All Experience Levels
From active learning novices to experts, all full-time faculty have opportunities
to increase their use of active learning through the QEP.
Each year, opportunities for faculty to:
- learn more about the benefits of active learning
- learn more about incorporating active learning into their classroom
- develop active learning materials for direct integration into their pedagogy.
