What is LastPass?

LastPass is an industry-leading password manager. Password managers store your usernames and passwords for your online accounts in an encrypted vault that you can access across your devices. Logging into LastPass allows you to easily access, save, and update your passwords - and the only password you have to remember is the master password for your LastPass account. There are other benefits too. You can create and store secure notes to capture  answers to your security questions. And you can store addresses and financial information - all securely.

How to use LastPass?

• Install the LastPass browser extension and/or Mobile App
  • Download here: https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php 
  • After you download LastPass, you’ll find the LastPass button in your browser toolbar or with your apps on your mobile divice. This is where you log in to LastPass using your university email username/password.
• Add sites
  Forgetting passwords is a thing of the past. Start by filling your vault with logins and passwords. There are many ways to add sites:
  
  • Let LastPass save sites as you login,
  • Import sites from your email,
  • Import/Upload from another password manager, and more
• Explore your LastPass vault
  • Review the menu and types of items that you can save.
• Create secure notes
  • Add notes for answers to security questions, insurance cards, memberships, prescriptions, Wi-Fi passwords... No more Post-It notes on your desk!
• Audit passwords
