Dr. Anjanta Roy, Assistant Professor - Department of Mathematics & PhysicsAbout:

Dr. Ajanta Roy joined Grambling State University as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in Fall 2020. Dr. Roy completed her PhD in Mathematics, MSc in Applied Mathematics and MS in Computer Science. She completed quality matters QM Rubric (APPQMR) and DYOC training. She has been teaching as a full-time faculty since 2010, before which she worked as a graduate assistant. She enjoys working with students. Here at GSU she teaches a wide range of courses from the freshman to senior level such as College Algebra, Trigonometry, PreCal, Cal-1, Probability and Statistics I, Differential Equations, Statistical Data Analytics, Mathematics of Finance I, Mathematics of Finance II etc. Her research interests are in Applied Math, Operation Research, Finance Math, Bio Math, Teaching and Education. She has published several research articles in peer reviewed journals. She serves on campus wide committees. She has been working as a web coordinator of the Louisiana-Mississippi section of Mathematical Association of America since 2022.
