Graduate Appeals: your path to a fresh start

Sometimes the journey to a graduate degree doesn’t go as planned. At Grambling State, we believe in second chances—and in a process that’s fair, supportive, and clear. If you're seeking readmission into a graduate program, the Graduate Appeals Portal is your starting point.

This online system allows you to submit your appeal directly to the Graduate Council for review. Take time to gather your materials, understand the process, and complete each step with care.

Important Dates and guidelines

Questions? Contact the Office of Graduate Studies at gradstudies@gram.edu.

Planning Ahead:
• Submit your appeal as early as possible
• Gather all required documents well before the deadline
• Allow time for any missing documentation or corrections
• Consider that late appeals may delay your academic progress by a full semester

Appeal Guidelines

  1. All graduate appeals must be received at least one week before the first day of classes.
  2. Appeals submitted after the deadline will automatically roll over to the next semester's review cycle.
  3. Late submissions will require a new appeal package for the following term.
Example:
If classes begin August 15, your complete appeal must be submitted by August 8 to be considered for Fall admission/reinstatement.

Why Apply Early?
  • Ensure your application receives full consideration
  • Allow time for any additional documentation requests
  • Secure your preferred program before capacity limits are reached
  • Have ample time to complete financial aid requirements and SAP appeals before the last day of registration
  • Avoid last-minute technical issues or delays
Remember: Meeting the admission deadline means being fully admitted by the date shown, not just submitting your applicationStart your application today to allow sufficient processing time!
