Strategic Planning is a process through which stakeholders of all levels can help guide and prioritize needs/wants for Grambling State University. The Strategic Planning process is completed by both the college and the departments, and should align vertically across the institution (e.g., the department should align to the college which should align to the university).

The cornerstone is the institutional Mission Statement. From that, the Core Values, Vision, and Goals can be developed. The goals at the institutional level are broad ideas developed with these foundational statements in mind. The plan itself is developed to operationalize these broad ideas across the institution.
