Professor Jamie Arthurlee joined the School of Social Work as a lecturer in 2023. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Ms. Arthurlee received her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Grambling State University and Masters of Social Work from Grambling State University. She has over 9 years of clinical practice experience. Prior to joining the GSU faculty in 2023, she served as the director of an Intensive Outpatient Program in Farmerville, LA. She has provided services in various mental health settings including community-based programs, in-patient and outpatient behavioral agencies.
Ms. Arthurlee has over 9 years of experience as therapist. She is skilled in psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She teaches Human Behavior in Social Environment and Social Work Practice courses. Ms. Arthurlee has a passion for helping others. She is dedicated to ensuring that the students she works with are empowered and prepared to build and lead successful lives.
