The College of Education(COE) at Grambling State University (the Educator Preparation Provider - EPP) is fully accredited, having met all six standards at both the initial and advanced program levels following its joint State Department and NCATE (now CAEP) visit in Fall 2016. The next site visit for the College of Education will be Spring 2024.
The COE seeks to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate educators and other professionals. In preparing candidates to serve in PK-12 and higher education settings, the faculty and staff in the College of Education strive to produce graduates who demonstrate proficiency in the following student learning outcomes: 1) masters of subject matter content, 2) facilitators of learning and 3) enhancers and nurturers of affective behavior.
In addition, the College of Education is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE). This approval encompasses all programs leading to certification in educator preparation at Grambling State University. Regionally, the College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
