Dr. Stephanie Bundle is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work. She has a BSW in Social Work from the University of Michigan- Flint and a M.Ed. from Tennessee State University. She has a Doctor of Social Work from Jackson State University. Prior to the appointment of Assistant Professor, Dr. Bundle served as a program coordinator, graduate assistant, instructor and adjunct professor at a Historically Black College and University. She was also a researcher for the Computer Science Equity Project, University of California, Los Angeles. She is an integral part of teaching students, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. She serves as the Chair of the World Day of Social Justice Awareness Conference, Anti-racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee as well as the Research, Grant Writing & Publications Committee. Dr. Bundle’s focus is Social Justice advocacy and education. She teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Social Welfare Policy and Interviewing and Communication Skills at the undergraduate level. She also teaches Trauma Informed Care and Practice at the Master’s level of Social Work, offered during the Spring Semester. She has spent thirty years of her career as a social worker providing individual and group counseling services for at risk youth, men, and women in crisis, as well as families. She has worked and consulted with diverse cultural backgrounds as well as various organizations. She is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) for the State of Mississippi and RSW for the State of Louisiana.
