College of Business Hosts Seminar with Computer Science Corporation
A Computer Science Corporation (CSC) representative spoke with Grambling State University College of Business majors about employment opportunities and a successful job search on February 10 in the Jacob T. Stewart Building.
CSC University Liaison Geoff Lucas informed students about CSC, as well as what the company was looking for in prospective students seeking internships and full-time employment.
CSC has a rich history of more than 50 years in business, which began in 1959 with a mission to be a global leader in providing technology enabled business solutions and services.
Lucas explained that making a good first impression was the single most important thing students need to focus on when looking for a job. He also emphasized that students should not attend career fairs in groups with their friends. It’s best to approach recruiters alone, so students can get quality one-on-one time.
Lucas encouraged students to apply for internships and employment with CSC. He stated that CSC’s partnership with universities will ensure a highly capable, committed workforce ready to take on their customers toughest challenges.
“We will leverage our university relationships to perform valuable research on new technologies, and we are seeking talented students for internships and full-time opportunities,” he said.
