Grambling State University Extends Campus Closure To Friday, August 28
GRAMBLING, La. – August 27, 2020 – Grambling State University officials announced that the campus closure has been extended through Friday, August 28.
According to the National Weather Service, Hurricane Laura was downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm early this afternoon and is expected to continue weakening rapidly. Laura will continue north across northern Louisiana into Arkansas over the next day.
In-person and virtual classes are expected to resume Monday, August 31.
Team members with essential job functions should report to work on campus. All other team members are not expected to work (on campus or remotely) during the University closure; this includes those team members who are approved to telework. If you have questions whether your work function is considered essential during inclement weather, please contact your supervisor. Registration for the fall semester has been extended through Tuesday, September 1.
