Grambling State Issues Public Challenge to “Look for the Label” for University Support
Trademark Licensing Support Campaign Urges Public to Double-Check Merchandise for Official Holograms
GRAMBLING, La – March 11, 2020 – Today, Grambling State University relaunched its “Look for the Label” campaign, challenging supporters to only purchase licensed Grambling State University apparel and items.
“The continued support of our constituents by only purchasing licensed merchandise has a signification impact at Grambling State University,” said Marc Newman Vice President for Advancement, Research and Economic Development. Licensing initiatives have generated more revenue in 2018 and 2019 than any other period in the history of the University. The Look for the Label campaign looks to grow on that success.
Each time fans, alumni, and supporters purchase officially licensed products, the manufacturer returns a portion of that sale to Grambling State University. All officially licensed merchandise will bear a Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) hologram sticker. This sticker is the consumer’s assurance that their purchase is authentic and supports Grambling State.
