About the State of Higher Education
In recent years, we have witnessed a surge in support for public higher education in Louisiana. The results have helped support fiscal stability, new scholarships, and investments in infrastructure like our own digital library. Stable State funding for institutions, as well as related programs that include TOPS and GO Grants, has allowed us to concentrate on growing our student experience and continuing to lead our state in our academics and students.
This support reflects a new awareness among many of our state leaders that educational attainment is essential for a healthy Louisiana future. As we look forward, it is critically important to join our eight sister institutions in the University of Louisiana System – the largest higher education system in Louisiana, and one of the largest in the nation, to advocate for educational progress.
Please join Dr. Henderson and I to learn how you can be an influential part of our next level of progress this coming Tuesday.
Sincerely,
“Prez”
President Rick Gallot
