Campus and community to celebrate “Generations of Innovation” September 23-27, 2019 

 

GRAMBLING, LA — September 17, 2019 – Today, Grambling State University announced a series of Founders Week events that will honor the University’s influential leaders and its 118-year history.  

“Founders week is an important opportunity to connect our students with our world-changing legacy and the leaders who helped make us a global impact center and brand,” said University President Rick Gallot.  

 

The week’s events will include a series of ceremonies, service opportunities, and education events for students, campus, and communities. Included in the lineup is the annual Founders Week Convocation featuring Central State University President, Dr. Cynthia Jackson as this year’s keynote speaker.

Founder’s Week Breakfast

Campus Convocation: Founder’s Week
Dr. Cynthia Jackson, President of Central State University to Keynote 
Tuesday, September 24 at 11 a.m.

During Founders Week, the University will also feature a luncheon for employees who invest in its third Bring it Home Campaign, which has raised more than $2.5 million in three years. All employees will join President Gallot and student performance groups Wednesday, September 25 at 11 a.m. in the Black and Gold Room.
