Congratulations on making the great decision to start or continue your Tiger academic journey. To ensure your success in the classroom, here is a list of must-do’s to complete enrollment and registration.

Welcome Week Steps for New & Returning Students

The updated process makes registration easier than ever. Use BannerWeb and the Online Student Support Center to navigate getting registered. Follow these simple steps:

 

  1. Admissions Confirmation
    Complete any outstanding admissions requirements (documents, testing, etc.) or book an appointment to find out any remaining to-dos for getting admitted.
  2. (On-Campus Students) Pick Up Your Keys
    Check the email address you used to apply for information on key pickup and room assignments or login into the “My Housing” portal in BannerWeb for up-to-date information. *Tiger1 cards can now be picked up with your room keys.
  3. (Off-Campus Students) Secure Off-Campus Authorizations
    Login into the “My Housing” portal in BannerWeb or visit the Office of Campus Living and Housing to secure authorization for off-campus housing.
  1. Submit Immunization Records (optional)
    Book an appointment with the Foster-Johnson Health Center or walk-in to submit your immunization documents.
  2. Schedule an Advising Appointment & Request Your PIN
    Reserve a meeting with your academic department to receive your PIN and complete your curriculum sheet by scheduling an appointment via the online student support center.
  3. Create Your Class Schedule
    Login to BannerWeb to select your classes and submit your schedule.
  4. Confirm Financial Aid
    If needed, book a meeting to clear up any questions about your balance or financial aid. Before you book, remember log into BannerWeb

    • Check your award,
    • Check your account balance, and
    • Accept Your Award
  1. Accept and Pay Fees
    To be completely enrolled, you must visit BannerWeb to “Accept and Pay Fees.” Select Student > Registration > Accept/Pay Fees.
  2. Verify Fee Sheet
    Ensure that your fee sheet says “registered.” If your fee sheet does not say “registered,” make an appointment with the Student Services office through the Online Student Support Center.
  3. Secure a Parking Pass (optional)
    Complete your parking decal request in BannerWeb and pick up your parking decal from the Traffic Office in Long Jones Hall room 171.
  4. Pick Up Your Tiger 1 Card and/or Meal card
    Bring a state-issued identification card to the Tiger1 Card Office or pick-up station to get your GSU ID.
    a. (optional) Change your meal plan Once each semester, you can change your meal plan. Click here for a short guide to updating your meal plan.
    b. (optional) Obtain a Mailbox 
    Sign up for a mailbox to receive mail or packages on campus.  Visit the University Mail Center for a campus box assignment.
    c. (optional) Add G-FLEX
    “G-flex” is a stored value account. In simple terms, once you make a deposit you can make purchases on and near campus at select locations with your Tiger1 Card. You can make a deposit using any credit from your student account balance (if available) in BannerWeb.
