GSU Baseball Home Series Moved To Baton Rouge
The Grambling State University (GSU) Baseball Team will move their home 3-game series against Southern University March 4th – March 6th to Baton Rouge. Ongoing field repairs to Wilbert Ellis Field at RWE Jones Park will not be completed in time for this weekend necessitating the series being played at Lee-Hines Field. GSU will serve as the home team throughout the series. The three single games against Southern University are scheduled for Friday March 4th at 6:00 pm, Saturday March 5th at 12:00 pm, and Sunday afternoon March 6th at 1:00 pm.
The GSU Baseball Team’s overall record heading into this weekend conference series stands at 1 – 5. This will be the first conference series for both GSU and Southern University who the Tigers defeated to open the 2016 Baseball Season 15 – 0 in the MLB Urban Youth Academy Tournament in New Orleans.
