Grambling State Appoints Timothy Graham as Director of Purchasing
Experienced Accountant and Procurement Officer Assumes Executive Leadership Role at Grambling State
GRAMBLING, La. – May 28, 2020 –Grambling State University announced that Timothy Graham assumed the role of Director of Purchasing starting May 18.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Graham to our team,” said Grambling State Senior Associate Vice President for Finance and Operations Sheilah Faucette. “His extensive experience brings a unique blend of talents to this important role.”
“In this position, Graham will provide executive level direction for the University’s fiscal management and strategic acquisitions. He has vast experience in negotiating large capital expenditure projects, developing domestic and international supplier relationships, implementing purchasing software systems, and managing multi-million dollar budgets and forecasts.
“In order to continue providing an exceptional educational experience for our students, we must maximize our assets,” said Executive Vice President Martin Lemelle. “We look forward to having Mr. Graham’s guidance in this area.”
About Timothy Graham
Graham brings over eighteen years of governmental and global procurement, supply chain implementation, and strategy execution. He has vast experience in negotiating large capital expenditure projects, developing domestic and international supplier relationships, implementing purchasing software systems, and managing multi-million dollar budgets and forecasts.
He is a graduate of Southern University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He received his MBA from the University of Phoenix. In addition to his years of purchasing, his background includes several years of bank management and accounting experience. Prior to joining the Grambling family, Graham was the Senior Buyer for Benteler Steel-Tube in Shreveport, Louisiana where he was responsible for global contract negotiation and implementation, large capital equipment purchases, and plant maintenance and repair agreements.
