Year-round, the Grambling State University provides students and community members of all ages with learning opportunities. Through the Office of Continuing Education and Service Learning, Division of Athletics, our Marching Band, and more we work to provide a growing list of the Office’s summer learning opportunities.

ARTS & SCIENCES
Italy: Art, History and Food (18 and Older)
Dates: May 6th, 2019 – May 24th, 2019
Learn and see all of what Italy has to offer. In exploring Italy, you will learn the rich history, examine the beautiful art/architecture and enjoy the delicious food. Be inspired as you ride along the canals of Venice or walk along the ancient Roman streets.

Learn How to Make a Quilt from Start to Finish
Dates: June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
(Age:18 and above)
Cost/Credit: $100 / 3CEUs
The course is designed to assist learners with cutting techniques, piecing techniques, and basic assembly of quilt blocks. The step by step process will allow students to complete a lap quilt by the end of the course. Supplies are provided. However, learners may choose to bring their own fabric to make a special quilt.

High School Band Camp with the World-Famed Tiger Marching Band
July 7-13, 2019
Time: Daily
Deposit: $100 | Total Cost per Individual: $335
Costs include housing, food, and social activities
Students from across the nation will join directors, student leaders, and staff from GSU’s World-Famed Tiger Marching Band whose most recent performances include Beyonce, the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and more the nation’s biggest bands. The six-day intensive clinic will feature detailed clinic on basic marching, musical techniques, drill, and more.
Designed by some of the nation’s leading field show producers, this year’s High School Band Camp is open to students at all levels who want to develop a World-Famed level of skill. Registration Form | Camp Details
“Basic Photography Workshop”
Ages 16+ | $60
Instructor: Dr. Raj Vinnakota
Join one of Grambling’s best photographers to learn how to use any camera to produce professional shots. Participants will receive a FREE headshot and expert instruction on Basic Photography, Camera Modes, Aperture, Shutter and ISO.
“Tiger Aid”
Ages 12-18 | $20
Instructor: Mrs. Ashley Pierre
Teens and young adults are invited to learn basic first aid procedures, CPR, how to identify medical emergencies and key concepts every first-responder should know.
“Semiconductor Device, Modeling & Simulation”
Ages 16+ | $100
Instructor: Dr. Raj Vinnakota
This four-day camp for teens offers an intense look at how the electrical devices that run our world work. Sign up for a brief introduction on electrical modeling and simulation and the opportunity to learn about tears in technology, hardware, and industrial design.
“Tiger Paws: A Preventative Wellness Service”
Cost $20
Instructor: School of Nursing, Grambling State University
Join Grambling State University’s MSN School of Nursing programming for expert advice on preventive diabetic foot care, how to spot when you’re at risk of injury, and in-course exams to help improve your quality of living.

High Ability gives students a commanding lead toward independence, responsibility, and scholarship opportunities. Participants will earn a total of six credit hours during the summer. High Ability students participate in a science-based field trip to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Amusement and Water Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
