Chanley Patterson
Chanley Patterson is a soon-to-be graduate of Louisiana Tech University, pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family science with minors in Music and Gerontology. Chanley has a heart for loving and serving people of all ages. She has a passion for working with senior adults and was an intern at the Arbor and Terrace Assisted Living this past summer.
Chanley also has an extensive background in advocating for pediatric cancer research and fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). She has been the host of a self-created CMNH talent show for nine years now, partnering with people and organizations in our area to inform our communities of the impact that the Children’s Miracle Network has nationwide. Chanley is honored to participate in this Let Us Dream Conference and looks forward to learning alongside her fellow panelists!
DJ Forentberry
Daryl K. (DJ) Fortenberry Jr. is a dedicated Community Relations Liaison for the City of Monroe, Louisiana, working closely with Mayor Friday Ellis. With a solid foundation in media relations, government relations, and campaign management, DJ plays a vital role in developing initiatives that boost community engagement and support organizational growth. He coordinates key public events, organizes volunteer programs, and promotes local projects that make a positive impact on the community. His expertise in communication and collaboration has been instrumental in bringing major business ventures, as well as other essential resources, to the city.
Outside of public service, DJ has a successful background as a small business owner and actively supports local economic development. He is involved with community organizations like the NELA Salvation Army and United Way as well as serves as Board President of the ULM L-Club, demonstrating his commitment to Monroe’s growth. Named one of Monroe’s Top 20 Under 40 in 2023 and a participant in the Delta Leadership Institute, DJ is passionate about advancing Monroe’s economic and social landscape. His focus on building strong community partnerships is a testament to his dedication to regional progress and opportunity.
