I am the Associate Vice President & The Executive Director of the Center of International Affairs & Programs at Grambling State University of Louisiana. I am responsible for scholarships, Study Abroad, International Academic Programs and International Student Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, global cooperation and articulation linkages that augment campus internationalization, foreign credit evaluation, and student & scholars services and programs (which include immigration counseling, foreign faculty/staff affairs, and academic and cross-cultural advising.) CIAP serves as liaison between the university and international students, global partners, federal government, public and private agencies, and the community.
Grambling State University is a university with many things to offer you: a beautiful campus and surrounding region; extracurricular activities; and friendly students, staff and faculty waiting to meet you!
It is my pleasure to assist you in any way I can. Like you, I was once an international student. I completed my graduate studies at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and can relate to many of your concerns. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have as you prepare for your exciting student experience in the USA. I will help you obtain a US student visa before you leave your country.
Once you arrive on our campus, my staff and I will be here to help you with registering for classes and adjusting to university life.
Welcome to GSU: You are someone Special here!
You may always come to my office to discuss a problem or just to find a listening ear. I want your time here to be happy and successful. My international students are known on campus as VIPs : Very International Persons!
I am planning to make several trips around the world each year. I will try to meet with you personally if at all possible - just let me know so we can arrange it! Lunch on me!
I look forward to hearing from you soon and personally welcoming you to GSU. If you need any help, please remember that I am your friend. Feel free to contact me by letter, phone, fax, or e-mail.
All the best.
